Photo a Day (PaD)

This year I will be taking a photo a day - something that documents a part of my day. I will try to write something about each photo... time permitting. Here's my first four. I will come back another day to write about these photos.

Today I had some of my favorite people over for dinner and a visit. These are my camera buddies and mentors. from left to right are Gigi, Shedrick and Charlie. Shedrick and Gigi are great teacher's and inspirations to Charlie and I. It's so nice to have friends that can talk photography for hours on end and it doesn't get boring to them or me. I love that. I always learn something new each time I am around them.
Today was especially nice. We had a lunch of salad, garlic bread, cooked cauliflower, and spaghetti with beef and pork. Charlie brought some ice cream for dessert. Shedrick watched the football game with the boys and Gigi played the piano for us and sang some too. She has a beautiful voice that to me sounds like she lost her calling. She could easily entertain people when she sings the gospel songs the way she does.
Charlie is always entertaining. She is such a joy to be around. She reminds me a little of my mom in ways but she's old enough to be my Grandma. I like that about her. She is a sweetheart and I just love her. She doesn't think she takes very good pictures, but I would disagree. That girl has come along way since the first meeting of the PCCC. She has some great pictures and is always learning something new and trying new things. I am proud of her.

2 of the loves of my life checking to see what could be for dinner. I told them to look through the cookbook and pick something. They picked Chicken Fettucine. Hubby at the store now to get some stuff to make it. I'm hoping he cooks tonight. lol.

This is a picture of my lunch today. Almost every Friday my boss (who I adore and admire) buys us lunch. It's a great deal since I only work on Mondays and Fridays, lol. Anyway, I have a great boss. Not because she buys us lunch, but because she is a great person. She treats us with respect and always includes us in decisions and choices that affect us. I've always said that if everyone were to have a boss as decent and nice as her, the world would be a better place.

And Finally my first photo of the year PaD 1
Rebecca is Kelsey's best friend. They are such good friends. I didn't know that girls could be this close at such a young age. Becca used to be in Kelsey's class until January of last year when she moved to another state. It broke both of the girl's hearts and mine too. They would call each other and cry on the phone because they missed each other so much. It was really sad. Last summer Becca got to come to our house and stay for a week. They had such a great time together and they didn't get tired of each other at all. They will be friends for life no matter where they live. This photo was taken on January 1st of this year - about a year after she moved away last year.
