Ice, Ice, Baby

I complain about the cold weather all the time. As a matter of fact, just this week I complained about it at least 5 times. Even though I don't like winter, it sure does give me good opportunities to get some great shots. Here's the pictures that got me soaked from head to toe and my camera splashed. It was raining pretty hard....so hard that I thought I ruined my camera. The ice was beautiful though. Not enough for me to like winter though. Luckily the kids had a day off of school today because of the ice or I would have slid down the driveway.

Heavy branches - a little blurry but thought it showed how heavy this ice was.

And my all time favorite ice picture - I turned this one upside down for a different effect:

I hope you enjoyed the ice pictures.
Now I'm off to get some hot chocolate. I'm freezing.

Holy smokes girl! I am LOVING all these shots. I enjoy so much how you take photos of things I would never have thought to, like the little twig squiggle thing. Oh, and the rain in the one, brilliant capture!

Bobbie, these are incredible! You really outdid yourself with this set - so artistic, so beautiful. Even if you don't like the cold of winter, you sure do capture it well. I agree with K - love the little details I never would have thought to capture.

Your ice looks like it was much heavier than what we got here. Ours was just a thin coating...that stuff looks heavy!!

Thanks Kimberly and Christina,
I really don't like the cold, but it was sort of fun finding things to shoot, until I realized I was soaking wet. Then I realized that I was standing around a bunch of trees that had hundreds of extra pounds of ice on them that could topple over at any given second. Last week we had trees that did that. Stupid me.

Oh and Christina,
I was inspired by your ice pictures the other day to go out and do these.
